We are here to guide volunteers toward productive use of their energy. Reach out to us if you are ready to offer time, resources, or thoughts! We happily accept donations of stamps, spaces in vehicles, gas cards, gift cards for snacks (we can’t accept donations of actual snacks), or suggestions for actions. While we are not a nonprofit, and therefore gifts are not deductible, our volunteers are… grateful. We would love to hear from you!

We hope you’ll join us for our actions, but we also encourage you to check out other volunteer organizations we work with. We try to incorporate their actions into our CALENDAR OF EVENTS, but you are encouraged to reach out to them directly.
Indivisible — This is the parent organization of thousands of local grassroots organizations. Indivisible focuses on coordinating the efforts of organizers and other leaders as they seek to elect Democrats. The Action Group NYC has worked directly with a local Pennsylvania Indivisible chapter on local, state, and federal races.
Mobilize — This organization coordinates a wide variety of social events, tabletop actions, and information offerings throughout New York City’s five boros, as well as regional and national-focused events. Volunteers can adjust event display filters based on their location or interests. The Action Group NYC is delighted to have worked with Generation Y and Z volunteers met through Mobilize!
Red2Blue — This group directs volunteers toward campaigns that support Democratic candidates for state and local offices, especially state legislatures. The organization prioritizes candidates from groups traditionally underrepresented in government, and gives special focus to those striving to create a more just and equitable society. Among its many activities, Red2Blue has provided The Action Group NYC’s volunteers carpooling opportunities throughout the mid-Atlantic region, extending both groups’ impact on hyperlocal races.
Swing Left — Swing Left is one of the most impactful Democratic volunteer organizations. The Action Group NYC has worked with, as the millions of doors knocked, phone calls made, postcards written, and dollars raised will attest! Many of The Action Group NYC’s outside-the-city actions are done in conjunction with Swing Left.
Vote Blue — Vote Blue focuses on voter turnout through deeper conversations with potential voters, usually through tabling or door-to-door canvassing. Many of The Action Group NYC’s volunteers have canvassed through Vote Blue-coordinated efforts.
Vote Forward — Volunteers who register with Vote Forward engage in both issue-focused and candidate-supportive letter writing campaigns. Vote Forward coordinates distribution of voter names and addresses, and has supplied lists to The Action Group NYC’s tabletop events.
